Doug van Duyne brings twenty years of entrepreneurial, management and software design experience in online shopping, e-commerce, and software and multimedia development to lead NetRaker.
Doug's career began while in high school when he designed automated inspection systems for Apple, NASA and Woods Hole Biomedical Research, received a fellowship for designing a multi-processor computer, and became the youngest programmer to work at Software Publishing Corporation.
Doug's management experience includes positions at GO Corporation, an early portable computing developer, and software product design at KidSoft, a pioneering e-commerce company before the advent of Web-based shopping. Later, as principal of Dune Design Group, Inc., he consulted on major web site design projects for Intel, Safeway, Cooking.com, and healthshop.com. Doug is the co-author of The Design of Sites, a book offering concrete design solutions to the most common Web site problems.
Doug studied Computer Science, Physics, Visual Arts, and Music at the University of California, Berkeley.

James A. Landay, Ph.D.

Chief Technology Officer, Board of Directors
James Landay is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. There, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on human computer interaction (HCI), the study of how to make computer use easier and more efficient.
James has contributed to a number of important user interface (UI) systems, including UIs at Carnegie Mellon University and Digital's Paris Research Laboratory. Additionally, he has authored articles on UI design tools, gesture recognition, pen-based UI, mobile computing and visual languages. His studies and work on HCI issues led to his interest in how automated usability testing tools can be used to create easy-to-use Web sites. James is also the co-author of The Design of Sites book.
James has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon.
John Togasaki

Director of Development
John has 14 years of experience taking software products from concept to finished product. Prior to joining NetRaker, John was with Sun Microsystems where he worked on desktop client software, including three generations of the email client that shipped with Solaris. At iPlanet, an alliance between Sun and Netscape, he led a team of engineers who developed web-based email and address book software for the iPlanet Messaging Server.
John has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and has attended every Big Game since 1983.
